

Boof the Barra, the water safety mascot and his water safety buddies visited students at a range of schools and sung the “Be water safety wise” jingle with them. Other exciting events included the branch’s annual Splashfest event which was held at the Darwin Waterfront Precinct, shopping centre displays, come and try days and active family fun days. The Splashfest event was a huge success and lots of people participated in the Water Safety Creek activity to learn more about being safe in and around the water.
A range of competitions were run throughout the week including an under 5’s and over 5’s colouring-in competition, an online Safe Boating Quiz and a chance to perform live at the Splashfest as one of Boof’s back-up dancers. Congratulations goes to:
