Boof the Barra

Boof is a Water Safety barramundi who also enjoys safe boating. He got his name from the sound barramundi make when they feed on the water’s surface, they make a noise that sounds like ‘boof’. This is caused by the barramundi sucking its prey into its cavernous mouth with such force that it not only swallows the prey, but also an amount of air and water - hence the exhaling of water and air by the barramundi which creates the ‘boof’ noise.
